2017/18 SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT
Thanks to all who attended Friday's celebrations.
A good time was had by all, well done to our award winners especially: Ian Daniel on winning the Bob Martello Cricketer of the Year Award & the MR Stanton Award for the Club Championship - after a stand out champion season.
Well done also to Ryan Morris on winning the Peter Hess Memorial Award for Best Clubman & Jakob Woinarski on winning the Campbell Award as our best U23 Player for the season. We recognized 500 + games played for Darryl Campbell, 300 + games for Leon Kennedy and 200 + Games for Brendan Morris as well as Damith Mapa for his outstanding final series and Stuie Squires' record 7 premierships. We celebrated our 14th 1st Grade Premiership Team as well as hearing some special messages from club leaders including the President Aaron and Coach Adrian, who reflected on the season's successes as well as recognizing player partners and families. We heard from team skippers and the various award winners.
Nikki reflected eloquently on what club contribution means in her Peter Hess award introduction, Stuie Squires (retiring Cub record Premiership skipper) and Nooka Campbell both in their own words provided the audience with what it means to them in allowing the club to become an important & positive part of their lives... great speeches from both Bloodhound legends.
Finally our resident street poet Jamie Frencham "rapped" a finale to the evening. Special mention to roving Tim Richardson on a great MC effort on the night, Rachel, Nikki and Janine on event preparations and the bar service and Phill Burton for more club stats & historical work.
Enjoy the off-season, keep an eye out for off season playing and non-playing events and importantly don't be shy on giving Aaron a call to see if there is a role for you! His phone is always on and welcoming!!
